Dibner, Perelis, and Mukherji strongly suggest that a life style of skipping breakfast and eating late at night may be an important contributor to obesity, diabetes and other health disorders. It might be a good idea, though hard to achieve in practice, only to eat during the time of daylight.

Sandias & Müldner give another warning about misleading isotope data even when calibrated against contemporary fauna. Against that caveat Webb et al. open up the possibility of a far more detailed, though complex and expensive analysis to disentangle a food web from many sources.

Torfing introduces an important caveat about sampling bias in using dates as data. As Timpson et al. correctly point out, a lot of that is smoothed out through the use many data from different sources. That said I had already not been convinced by Shennan’s boom and bust model in my commentary of 2013-10-14 and Torfing offers a valid and plausible alternative explanation for the shape of the curve.

I am not convinced by Gawne’s devastating critique of Ridley’s book, but to refute it, I’d have to read it first.
